I love working with water based materials. They are unpredictable, messy and temperamental, but at the same time, gentle, soft and forgiving. It sometimes feels like pushing through a heavy sleet filled wind, and sometimes like a sunny day in a field of wildflowers. These pieces are large and small and often are a combination of watercolor, ink, charcoal, and pastels.
